PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY

Perform in the Princeton Dance Festival on the beautiful Berlind Theater stage!

November 30-December 2, 2018

There are two options* for students who desire to perform in the Princeton Dance Festival:

OPTION 1 — Enroll in DAN 319, 320, 419, or 420

Fall dance courses DAN 319, 320, 419, and 420 offer technical training and repertory rehearsals partnered with the study of the evolution of choreographic thought. Students must enroll in both an A section (Choreography Workshop I, II, III or IV) and a B section (Dance Performance Workshop: Repertory I, II, III or IV). Rehearsals take place during class time.

Featuring works by:

  • ROBERT BATTLE, Artistic Director, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (staged by Elisa Clark)
  • MALCOLM LOW, former dancer, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and Crystal Pite/Kidd Pivot
  • MARK MORRIS, excerpt from Pacific — a ballet created for San Francisco Ballet (staged by Tina Fehlandt)
  • ABBY ZBIKOWSKI, Hearst Choreographer in Residence

Interested? Come to the mandatory placement class for students of all class years on Tuesday, September 11 at 3:00 p.m. in the Hearst Dance Theater.
