The mononlogue Faim (Hunger) by Knut Hamsun. Portraying the terrifying descent of a man who wanders through the streets, this partly autobiographical tale can only echo the fate of all the anonymous faces who people today’s cities. Directed by Arthur Nauzyciel, one of France’s leading directors and head of Orleans National Dramatic Center. Performed by celebrated stage actor Xavier Gallais, star in the Avignon Theater Festival’s leading production of Le Prince de Hombourg by Kleist. Performances will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, October 1 and 2, at 8:00 p.m. in the Marie and Edward Matthews ’53 Acting Studio at 185 Nassau Street. Performed in French with English subtitles. Duration: 80 minutes.
