Choreographer, filmmaker, and iconic street dancer Ana “Rokafella” Garcia will discuss hip-hop culture and her career as a female break dancer during a master class on Saturday, November 12, from 4:30 to 6:15 p.m. in New South Dance Studio.
Rokafella will also screen excerpts of All The Ladies Say, her documentary which highlights the challenges and celebrates the triumphs B girls experience in the male-dominated scene of break dancing. Following the discussion and screening, Rokafella will teach basic classic hip-hop dance moves.
The class is open to Princeton students only.
