Open only to Princeton University students, faculty, and staff

The Program in Theater kicks off its 2017-18 Living Room Read Series with a reading of the play JUST LIKE US by acclaimed Mexican/American playwright Karen Zacarías. The play is intended to activate a conversation around DACA; a conversation hosted by Professor Brian Herrera follows the reading.  The reading of the play will be directed by one of the most exciting Latina theater directors working today, Laurie Woolery.

Princeton student readers (no experience required) are needed for the piece to rehearse from 4:45-6:45 on Friday, September 22, and then to read aloud from the script in the evening after a break. If interested, please contact Professor Herrera at bherrera@princeton.edu. Rehearsal will also take place in the third floor seminar room. This is a wonderful opportunity for new and experienced performers alike to get a chance to read a play aloud with a fantastic director.

The Theater Program’s Living Room Read Series is dedicated to reading contemporary plays or drafts of plays aloud in an intimate student to student setting. If you have a new play that you are working on that you’d like to hear read aloud on a Friday afternoon or evening, please contact Jane Cox at janecox@princeton.edu for further information.
