Yu-Kung Kao, Professor of East Asian Studies, Emeritus, died on October 29, 2016. A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, March 11, at 202 Jones Hall on the Princeton University campus. The memorial service begins at 2:00-3:45 p.m. followed by a reception from 3:45-5:30 p.m. All are welcome.

According to Ze’eva Cohen, professor emerita and founder of the Program in Dance, Kao was among the very first to advocate for dance before and after co-education at Princeton. Cohen, as well as Princeton alumni and professional dancers/choreographers Douglas Dunn and Michael Mao will speak at the memorial.
