The American Alliance for World Music and Arts (AAWMA) and the Princeton University Chinese Music Ensemble (ChiME) present the Princeton International Chinese Music Festival, a 3-day lecture, competition and concerts program at Princeton University and Carnegie Hall in New York City. The Festival features emerging musicians from both the US and China including Princeton University Chinese Music Ensemble, current music professionals from Chinese conservatories, and the Festival’s Chinese Music Competition winners who range from talented youth to professionals.

On Saturday, October 4 at 2:30 p.m., various masters from China will give lecture demonstrations in Room 302 of the Frist Campus Center at Princeton University. The lectures will be led by world renowned musicians and college professors from China, among them Prof. Zhou Wang (guzheng-Chinese zither master) from the Central Conservatory of Music; Prof. Cao Dewei and Prof. Chen KunPeng (masters on erhu-Chinese fiddle) from the Chinese Instrument Department at China Conservatory and Guang Xi Conservatory of Music; Prof. Sheng Yang from Zhejiang Conservatory of Music; and Zhou Zhan (principle guzheng player) from China Broadcasting Orchestra.
