The 2015 Princeton French Theater Festival continues with avant-garde director Robert Cantarella’s performance of two seminars of French philosopher Gilles Deleuze recorded at the University of Paris VIII during Faire le Gilles. With minimal theatricality and far from any imitations, Robert Cantarella ‘says’ Deleuze. In other words he ‘performs Deleuze’ and helps bring back a thought: the contemporaneity, sensuality, and truthfulness of a thought that shook up the traditional relationship between cinema and philosophy. For the festival, Robert Cantarella performs two seminars from the series of those on Michel Foucault.

Performances are on Monday and Tuesday, September 28 and 29 at 4:30 p.m. The Monday performance will be held in Room 010 of East Pyne Building, and the Tuesday performance will be held in Room 106 of McCormick Hall. Performed in French. Duration: 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Admission is free but reservations are strongly recommended by sending an email to ftw@princeton.edu Subject Line: Festival.
