The 2015 Princeton French Theater Festival opens with Le 20 novembre, a play by celebrated contemporary Swedish playwright Lars Norèn. Based on the diary of 18-year-old Sebastian Bosse who entered his former middle school with explosives in the German city of Emsdetten on November 20, 2006, the play exemplifies Norèn’s sociopolitical theater that gives voice to social outcasts so as to invite spectators to reflect on the darkest aspects of our contemporary societies. The site-specific performance was created in spring 2014 in Brittany and will be presented in a University classroom with limited seating. Directed by Lena Paugam and performed by Mathurin Voltz.

Performances are on Thursday and Friday, September 24 and 25 at 6:00 p.m. in Classroom 02 of McCosh Hall on the University campus. Performed in French with English subtitles. Duration: 60 minutes.

Admission is free but reservations are strongly recommended by sending an email to ftw@princeton.edu Subject Line: Festival.
