Seven Deadly sins is a ballet chanté written by Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht in 1933. Kurt Weill’s evocative, languid and dark piece follows Anna, who as a Brechtian theatrical choice is portrayed by both a singer and a dancer. The Annas travel around to seven cities in the United States hoping to make money to build a “little home.” This thesis production features Jacqueline Levine ’16 (Conducting Certificate),  Alyson Beveridge ’16 (Theater & Vocal Performance Certificates), Ellie Albarran ’16 (Dance Certificate), Alex Quetell ’17 (Choreography/Design in completion of Visual Arts independent work), and Anna Kimmel ’18 (Choreography), and is directed by Nico Krell ’18. Featuring: Kevin McElwee ’18, Hun Choi ’17, Teddy Chow ’17, Alicia Ejsmond-Frey GS, Irineo Cabreros GS.
