In addition to publishing content digitally and in a biannual print edition, The Nassau Literary Review (NLR) is also committed to organizing events that explore important social issues through the lens of literature. This spring, NLR organizes its fifth annual Intercollegiate Literary Conference on the broad theme of “The Mind on the Page,” with a special emphasis on mental health in literature and art.

This conference will take place on Saturday, April 21st, 2018, and will feature events, readings, and panels with editors of professional and undergraduate literary magazines. There will also be appearances by established writers including Angela Flournoy and Michael Dickman and emerging writers including Kristin Chang and Nancy Huang. In addition, several students will have the opportunity to read their works with Flournoy.
