Two families witness the radical collapse of their entire way of life. When rebellion brings down a dictator, what is left in the void? How will you use your freedom? Based on ethnographic research, Caryl Churchill’s Mad Forest gives a personal look into the exceptionally brief events of the Romanian Revolution. Directed by junior Nico Krell, designed and dramaturged by senior Sydney Becker. Performances are January 12 & 13 at 8:00 p.m., January 14 at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m., and January 15 at 8:00 p.m. in the Marie & Edward Matthews ’53 Acting Studio at 185 Nassau Street. A talkback with English Professor Tamsen Wolff follows the performance on January 12th.
