Poet Solmaz Sharif has been selected as the latest recipient of the Theodore H. Holmes ’51 and Bernice Holmes National Poetry Prize awarded by the Lewis Center for the Arts’ Program in Creative Writing at Princeton University.
Paul Muldoon, the Howard G.B. Clark ’21 University Professor in the Humanities, Professor of Creative Writing in the Lewis Center and Director of the Princeton Atelier, has taught poetry at Princeton since 1987 and songwriting since 2013. Princeton University’s Lewis Center for the Arts named sculptor Martha Friedman as the new director of the University’s Program in Visual Arts. Friedman has been a member of the Program in Visual Arts faculty since 2009 and became a full-time lecturer in 2011. With her directorship commencing July 1, she will be appointed at the rank of Senior Lecturer.
