Acclaimed poet Kevin Young will present a lecture on “How to Write a Hoax Poem” on Tuesday, October 21, at 4:30 p.m. at the Lewis Center for the Arts’ James M. Stewart ’32 Theater at 185 Nassau Street. The event, the 2014-2015 Theodore H. Holmes ’51 and Bernice Holmes Lecture presented by Princeton’s Program in Creative Writing, is free and open to the public.
Hodder Fellow and poet Roger Reeves and Princeton Arts Fellow and fiction writer Hanna Pylväinen will begin their residencies at the Lewis Center by opening the Program in Creative Writing’s 2014-2015 Althea Ward Clark W’21 Reading Series, which is free and open to the public.
Award-winning Iranian-American novelist Porochista Khakpour and student writers Joan Bedinger, Ben Goldman, Nonny Okwelogu, and Chester Dubov will read from their work on Friday, September 19 at Labyrinth Books in the first reading of the new Emerging Writers Reading Series presented by the Program in Creative Writing.
Pulitzer Prize-winning fiction writer Jhumpa Lahiri will join the Lewis Center for the Arts Program in Creative Writing faculty at Princeton University in September 2015. She has been appointed Professor of Creative Writing and will teach workshops in fiction.
