Ori Flomin is from Israel and has been dancing in New York City since 1989.

His choreography has been seen in NYC at Dance Theater Workshop, PS122, Movement Research at Judson Church, DanceMopolitan at Joes’ Pub, Dance New Amsterdam and internationally in Austria, Japan and Israel.

He was the assistant to the artistic director of Stephen Petronio Dance Company from 2005-09 for which he also danced from 1991-1999. He continues to stage Mr. Petronio’s work internationally on company’s and schools.

He also had the pleasure to dance in the works of Neil Greenberg, Mollisa Fenely, Kevin Wynn, Michael Clark, Maria Hassabi, Chamecki/Lerner, Tim Feldman, and in Sweden with Helena Franzen.

He teaches dance and yoga as a guest artist for many companies, schools and festivals around the world such as ImpulsTanz (Vienna), PARTS(Brussels), SEAD (Salzburg), The Place (London), Culberg Ballet (Stockholm) Sasha Waltz Company (Berlin),Ballet De Lorrine (Nancy, France), Joint Adventures Festival (Munich), Dance Ireland (Dublin), DansHellerna (Copenhagen), Greece National School of Dance (Athens) among others, as well as teaching regularly at Movement Research and Gibney Dance in NYC.

Flomin is currently on faculty as an Adjunct professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and  has also taught at Barnard College, Rutgers University, SUNY Purchase, and The New School.

Since 2001 he has maintained an active practice as a certified Shiatsu practitioner.
