About

Hi my name is Ugonna Nwabueze and I am a senior in the English Department with certificates in Theater, African and African American Studies! I am originally from Brooklyn New York and was never involved in Theater prior to Princeton. My freshman year, I played a role in the play For Colored Girls by the Black Arts Company Drama (a student theater group I am now President of!) and fell in love with theater making.

The Program in Theater faculty are extremely supportive and truly encourage you to be fearless in your art making. Because of the Program's support I have been fortunate to have a lot of opportunity, the most life changing: being able to conduct research in Refugee camps in Africa that will go towards creating activist art. I am super excited to be a Lewis Center Arts Advisor because I get to interact with you! If you see me around campus don't be afraid to say hi, we can set up a time to chat whenever wherever!
