The buildings of the Lewis Arts complex surround the central Arts Plaza, located above the Forum. The plaza features a reflecting pool, walking paths between the complex buildings and a mosaic of grass and stone. On one edge, the plaza offers an overlook down below to the NJ Transit Princeton Station and Theater Drive. On the plaza in front of the Arts Tower lies “Einstein’s Table,” an 11-foot-diameter elliptical granite “water table” by Maya Lin. Also by Lin and adjacent to the Arts Plaza is “The Princeton Line,” an undulating sculpted line of molded earth that travels a steep, grassy slope between the Arts Tower, Effron Music Building and New South. The Arts Plaza is sometimes used for outdoor performances or gatherings.
