Battle conducts an open rehearsal of Rush Hour (staged by Elisa Clark) with Princeton students preparing to perform the work at the Princeton Dance Festival, followed by a conversation about his work as a choreographer and artistic director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

Successful artists and dance faculty members Tina Fehlandt, Abby Zbikowski and Elisa Clark share their stories and knowledge of what it’s like to navigate the dance profession.

The Princeton Dance Festival will feature repertory works by Robert Battle, staged by Elisa Clark; Mark Morris, staged by Tina Fehlandt; and Crystal Pite, staged by Alexandra Damiani, along with the premiere of new works by choreographers Marguerite Hemmings, Malcolm Low and Abby Zbikowski, one of the inaugural Hearst Choreographers in Residence.

The Program in Dance invites all interested Princeton students to a panel discussion and mingling with recent dance program alumni.

Hearst Choreographer in Residence Souleymane Badolo hosts an open rehearsal/showing of work-in-progress.

An original production choreographed and directed by Princeton seniors James Jared and William Keiser that explores a multitude of dichotomies — discipline/pleasure, internal/external, and performer/audience, among others — through dance.

In an evening of performance, senior Yasmine Eichbaum presents an immersive multimedia dance piece and senior Michelle Yeh presents a multimedia immersive interdisciplinary dance theater piece.

Hearst Choreographer in Residence Shannon Gillen (with Vim Vigor Dance Company) hosts an informal showing of new dance works in progress.

Seniors in the Program in Dance present a collaborative senior dance thesis concert including performances include new works by acclaimed choreographers Shannon Gillen and Loni Landon, as well as performances of new choreography created by two seniors in the Program.

Hearst Choreographer in Residence Jessica Lang (with members of Jessica Lang Dance) hosts an informal showing of new dance works in progress.

A showcase of new works created by Princeton students working in dance, creative writing, music, musical theater, theater, and/or visual arts.
