Special directing assignments will be made for each student, whose work will be analyzed by the instructor and other members of the workshop. Students will be aided in their preparations by the instructor; they will also study the spectrum of responsibilities and forms of research involved in directing plays of different styles.
Reading/Writing assignments:
100-200 pages per week

Prerequisites and Restrictions:
Prerequisites: THR 201 or other acting course and by permission. Please contact Professor Laurie Woolery, lwoolery@princeton.edu, for enrollment permission.
Other information:
Each student will complete a final project: a 20-minute theater piece each student will direct and produce during reading week or exam period. This course may be taken a second time for credit with a different instructor.
