Radioactive: Wakka Wakka

In this course, students will collaborate with guest artists Wakka Wakka on their newest show, “Radioactive.”  The course will focus on puppetry, live animation, and optical illusions as well as improvisations based on research for the project. An ecological science fiction piece, “Radioactive” will explore puppetry in the context of darkness. In a space so devoid of light that the spectator cannot see their own hand, using very low and controlled light from the stage, images and figures will be brought to life and manipulated to create illusions, magic and wonder.
