Theater Rehearsal and Performance

This course provides students with a rigorous and challenging experience of creating theater under near-professional circumstances. A faculty or visiting professional director will lead the process. This involves an extensive rehearsal and technical rehearsal period, requiring more time than a typical student production. Students cast in the show or taking on major production roles such as stage manager or designer will receive course credit.

Prerequisites and Restrictions:

Spring 2020 shows are The Universe is a Small Hat directed and taught by César Alvarez, Sister Mok-rahn directed and taught by Seonjae Kim, and Macbeth directed and taught by Elena Araoz. In order to enroll, students need to have been cast in one of these shows through auditions, or be involved in some other capacity such as designer or stage manager. If you have already been cast in the project, you will automatically be given permission to enroll but will still need to enroll for the course. If you would like to participate in a non-performing capacity, please email Jane Cox, janecox@princeton.edu, who can also answer any other questions about the enrollment process.
