The Princeton Environmental Institute and the Princeton University Art Museum will host author and environmentalist Bill McKibben for a lecture on “Art, Activism and the Chance for Change.” The event is free but tickets are required.

McKibben’s visit is timed with the major exhibition, Nature’s Nation: American Art and Environment, which opens at the Art Museum on October 13. McKibben will discuss his work confronting the global challenge of climate change, while considering how art and public engagement have the potential to raise consciousness about ecological issues and bring positive action.

A public reception at the Art Museum will follow the lecture, during which time the galleries will be open for viewing Nature’s Nation.

Tickets will be available at the Frist Campus Center ticket office or online starting at 12 noon on October 11 for Princeton faculty, staff and students and at 12 noon on October 15 for the public.
