Interested in learning computer drafting software to improve your ability to communicate your design work in theater, film, TV, live entertainment and other venues? Faculty member Tess James will offer Introductory Workshops for absolute beginners, and next level workshops for lighting design students, using the Vectorworks software. Interested students may use the computers in the Vasen Design Studio; however if the student has a laptop, they are recommended to download the program onto their own computer from the Vectorworks Student Portal. A student ID is required to download the software for free.

Workshop Schedule + Details

November 8 from 5-7 PM — Introduction to Vectorworks drafting software for total beginners (2D only)

November 15 from 5-7 PM — Vectorwork drafting for lighting designers (2D only)

November 22 from 4:30-7:30 PM — Drop in office hours for Vectorworks questions or with your project

December 7 from 2-4 PM — Introduction to Vectorworks drafting software for total beginners (2D only)

December 7 from 5-7 PM — Vectorwork drafting for lighting designers (2D only)

Each workshop is free and open to Princeton students; please RSVP to attend any session to Tess James at tj4@princeton.edu.
