Students and faculty member Aaron Landsman in the Princeton fall Freshman Seminar 143, “Is Politics a Performance?” present a free, participatory theater work that puts decision-making power in your hands. Combining excerpts of actual government meetings in Princeton and Trenton, as well as class member hometowns, the piece invites you to take a seat at the city council table, read testimony into the public record, or just sit and enjoy the civic spectacle. We are excited to show you the city we make together by performing it. Whether or not you feel qualified to lead, democracy only works if you show up.
