The Program in Theater presents a new theater piece that takes the form of a cycle of original songs, poems, and stories.
Written by Alexandra Palocz ’20, Echoes in Glass is an interactive story cycle centered around two sisters, a child, a bargain, and a bag of salt. As writer, designer and director, Palocz draws upon her experience with a wide array of creative work from theatrical design and performance to visual art, music, and game design. Built in collaboration with actors Hannah Chomiczewski ’20 and Alice Xu ’20, as well as stage manager/assistant director Nora Aguiar ’21, Echoes in Glass brings together the realms of theater, oral storytelling, and interactive experience. The audience is invited into a world of monsters, myths, and memories — a world where stories are distilled into jars and people call upon the spirits to help bring them to life.
