Events

Want to perform in Princeton Dance Festival but can’t take a dance course? Audition to be in a guest choreographer’s work! Students may audition for all 3 opportunities listed below but would only be cast in one. These works will be performed at the Princeton Dance Festival December 2-4, 2022.

Audition Details

Caili Quan

Saturday, September 10 @ 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Murphy Dance Studio
This will be a contemporary ballet work choreographed by Caili Quan and co-staged with Zachary Kapeluck. Weekly rehearsals will be held Tuesdays 4:30 – 6:20 PM and Fridays 3:30 – 5:20 PM.

Sun Kim

Saturday, September 10 @ 2-4 p.m. in Hearst Dance Theater
This will be a popping/hip-hop work choreographed by Sun Kim. Weekly rehearsals will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30 – 6:20 PM.

Michael J. Love

Thursday, September 8 @ 4:30 p.m. (Informational meeting* in Ellie’s Studio N201, Lewis Arts complex)
This will be a rhythm tap dance piece choreographed by Princeton Arts Fellow Michael J. Love. Weekly rehearsals will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30 – 6:20 PM.
*If interested in performing in this work, you may also send an email before 9/8 to Michael Love at ml9156@princeton.edu and briefly describe previous tap experience; or attend the first rehearsal on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 4:30 PM in Ellie’s Studio.
