“Among Trees” is accepting submissions from all local and university community members on nature, woods, and preservation! Dramatic text encouraged, as well as poetry and prose passages. Select submissions will be performed by professional actors and musicians at a public midsummer theatrical live event in Herrontown Woods on June 12 at 4 p.m. Organized by Princeton University affiliated artists Vivia Font and Ben Steinfeld. Three New York-based painters present recent landscape and still life paintings in an exhibition curated by visual arts professor Su Friedrich. Princeton students, faculty + staff can access the exhibition Mon-Thurs. from 12-6 PM. The general public is invited to view the exhibition and meet the artists on the following dates: June 9 from 4-7 PM; June 16 + 23 from 12-6 PM; and June 29 from 4-7 PM. FREE
The Lewis Center for the Arts, in collaboration with other Princeton University departments, offers two artist fellowship opportunities. Both are designed to support artists, in all artistic disciplines, who demonstrate great promise. Applications for Princeton Arts Fellowships and Hodder Fellowships open July 1.
