Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by John Weidman. Directed by Tatiana Pandiani.

Assassins is an explosive tale of the American Dream gone awry. A multiple Tony Award-winning musical, Assassins combines Sondheim’s brilliant lyricism and rich music in a revue0style tale addressing our nation’s culture of celebrity and the violent means taken to obtain it. Clever, original, dark, and surprisingly funny, Assassins is perhaps Sondheim’s most controversial musical.

The show runs June 16-19 and 23-26. Performances are on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. in the Hamilton Murray Theater on the Princeton University campus. Tickets are $29.50 for evening performances; $24.50 for matinee performances and students with valid ID. Ticket reservations can be made with Brown Paper Tickets through PrincetonSummerTheater.org or by calling the box office at 732-997-0205.
