Junior Allison Spann, recipient of the Richardson Artist-in-Residence proposal competition, presents a new musical for which she is playwright, composer, director, producer, and set designer. As a Baroness and her three unmarried daughters mourn the loss of the late Baron, they prepare for a New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball at which they hope to improve their fortunes. Guests at the ball have their own varied motivations for attending, each wearing a mask to project an advantageous image, all learning throughout the night what the cost may be to remove their mask to reveal their true selves.

A talkback follows the Friday performance and reception follows the Saturday performance.

This event is free and open to the public, however advance ticket reservations recommended. Tickets are available online through University Ticketing or in person at the Frist Campus Center ticket office.

This event is cosponsored by the Lewis Center for the Arts, Richardson Auditorium, Princeton University’s Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies, and the Undergraduate Student Government Projects Board.
