Projection designer and 2017-19 Princeton Arts Fellow David Bengali (Class of 2004) will be leading two introductory workshops on projection design.

The first session, Projection Design: Concepts, will be an overview of projection design (What is it? Where does it come from? What can you do with it? How do designers and their teams make it happen in real life?), including time to answer your questions about this design discipline.

The second session, Projection Design: Practice, will be a more technical workshop, covering some important practical matters in putting together a projection design. We will explore topics like how to choose the right projectors for a show, how to figure out where to put them and focus them, and how to structure media correctly for a chosen layout. We will be working with Vectorworks software in this session. Prior experience with Vectorworks may be helpful, but is not required.

You can sign up for either or both of these sessions, but note that space for Projection Design: Practice on Feb. 25 is limited and will be first come, first serve.
