The Programs in Theater invites all Princeton students to audition for roles in a new piece of theater with music commissioned through the Roger S. Berlind Playwright in Residence program from Afropolitan theater maker Shariffa Ali. Written and composed by Ali along with Joanna Evans.
No experience necessary. All students welcome, including those who have never performed or haven’t performed since the first grade!
Students are welcome to audition by sharing a monologue or a presentation at least 1 minute long and no more than 2 minutes long. If you have sheet music, please bring it, but it’s not necessary. Please be prepared to engage with the creative team who make ask a few questions about your areas of interest in a bid to get to know you better as a collaborator. Most importantly don’t stress, we strive to create an inviting environment where all are welcome. We just want to meet you!
