Seniors in the Program in Dance present (Syn)thesis, a concert of new choreography they have created and performances of repertory works by master choreographers. Featuring senior dancers Emily Avery, Erin Berl, Dana Fesjian, Naomi Lake, Tiffany Miller, Alex Quetell, Paige Shaw, Clare Sherlog, Lauren Wodarski, and Crystal Yao.

CRYSTAL YAO — solo excerpt from Belladonna (an evening length duet from Adam Barruch & Chelsea Bonosky) portrays two lovers caught in a retelling of the original sin

EMILY AVERY —  solo created in collaboration with Brian Reeder inspired by the electric, instantaneous communication between neurons

TIFFANY MILLER — Fem, inspired by the writings of Judith Butler and Simone de Beauvoir, flirts with ideas of gender, performativity, definition, quotidian femininity, and audience

DANA FESJIANUntitled, interdisciplinary project with the theme of “powering the world through dance”

LAUREN WODARSKI — There’s Nothing More Important…, set in Paris at the end of World War II, a series of seven vignettes explore a vast array of choices and moral standpoints by focusing on the sacrifices, priorities, and judgments people make in everyday, mundane moments

CLARE SHERLOG — When Dance Happens, a reflection about what it means to be a dancer incorporating the dancers’ spoken narratives

ERIN BERL – my sanity slipping away, which questions how people decide whether to reveal their struggles or avoid disclosure of their problems

PAIGE SHAW — Going to NYC, excerpt from Princeton University Ballet’s upcoming premiere of The Great Gatsby

MALCOLM LOW — Stable Freedom, a dance created for the ten seniors (8 named above along with Alex Quetell and Naomi Lake)
