TheaterCraft co-curricular classes are a series of workshops offered to cater to the needs of students interested in what it takes to MAKE theater. Beyond the actors on the stage—what even happens? Whether you have never stepped on a stage before or you regularly balance on i-beams to overhang specials, these workshops offer valuable learning experience for all. In this series organized by Minjae Kim ’21, students will have the opportunity to register for 90-minute workshops to meet and learn from the talented professional staff of the Lewis Center.
This workshop, led by LCA Costume Shop Manager Keating Helfrich Debelak, explores the art of costume design for the stage. Get a behind the scenes look at what goes on during the production process for creating costumes for the shows in the theater, music theater, and dance programs. Come tour our spaces, learn about our process, and learn a few handy-dandy hand sewing skills for both stage and life.
