Visiting Writer from Georgetown University Domenico Starnone and Professor of Creative Writing Jhumpa Lahiri share readings and thoughts in English and Italian at the Prospect House Library on Tuesday, November 29.

Domenico Starnone was born in Naples in 1943 and now lives in Rome. He is the author of eight novels and numerous books of non-fiction. In 2001, he was the recipient of Italy’s most prestigious literary prize, the Strega. His novel Lacci won the inaugural The Bridge Prize for best novel. With the title Ties, it will be published by Europa Editions in 2017, translated and with an introduction by Jhumpa Lahiri.

The event begins at 4:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
