Events

colorful letters hang from purple hangerTry On Theater Days offer a welcoming introduction to theater making in the Princeton theater and music theater programs at the Lewis Center for the Arts. On three evenings, three times a year, the programs hold informal community evenings to encourage student participation in our student-driven season in any capacity. This new process replaces traditional auditions with group workshops and serves as an opportunity for students to find out about and get involved in non-performance capacities as well (such as stage management, design, sound engineering, backstage and so on).

Try on Theater Days Schedule

All students attending must have received their University-required negative COVID test to participate in campus activities and must wear a mask for all Try on Theater Day activities.

We strongly encourage in person attendance at Try On Theater days, since theater is a live community based art form—and our faculty, staff and most of our student participants will be participating in in-person activities. However, we understand that COVID circumstances may make this impossible for some of you. We will be offering virtual Theater Program Information Sessions, on January 24, 25, and 26 from 7-9 PM (EST). Led by Theater certificate student Anna Allport ’23, these open house information sessions will serve as a casual conversation space for Princeton theatermakers to ask an experienced theater student about program and other theater opportunities. Drop by any time during the meetings, and stay for as long or as little as you like! Get the Zoom link on the Virtual Events page
