Hi! My name is Kandace and I'm a senior in the English department. I'm from South Carolina and am writing a fiction thesis in the Program in Creative Writing. On campus, I help run a grief group, which is currently my main extracurricular. I've worked two campus jobs for most of my time at Princeton and come from an FLI background. I was also a part of FSI. The creative writing classes I've taken at Princeton and the friends I've met through the Lewis Center in all programs, as well as the incredible faculty, have been vital in shaping my experience here at Princeton.

I've been writing for quite literally most of my life—since I was five, in fact—and it has remained my main way of interpreting and understanding the world around me (my first story was a picture book about a bear named Karen). So please, please, please, don't hesitate to hit me up if you'd like to talk about literally anything—I love talking and people just as much as I love writing and books. Also, a side effect of being an English major is my intense love for most (if not all) things literary, so if you'd ever like to chat about that, Hamlet (!), or again, anything at all, please come talk to me! I'm looking forward to meeting you and I hope you have a great school year!
