Marissa Michaels is a member of the Class of 2022 at Princeton University majoring in Sociology with certificates in American Studies and Journalism. She is an associate news editor at The Daily Princetonian, president of her acappella group, member of Students for Prison Education, Abolition, and Reform, a tutor, college advisor, and musical theatre enthusiast. She has done research for the Lewis Center for the Arts since her first year at Princeton. Over her summers, she has been an intern at Midstory, a media thinkhub dedicated to revitalizing the midwest and a communications intern at SOMA Justice, a local community organizing group in NJ. She spearheaded educational outreach for REACTIVATING MEMORY Shuffle Along and the Tulsa Race Massacre: A Centennial Symposium.
