About
Hi there! My name is Alex Serna Castillon. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, I am a pre-med senior in the Visual Arts department concentrating in the practice of filmmaking. Outside of academics, I am an ARCA in Butler College along with being the current co-chair for Butler College Council.
Coming into Princeton, I knew that the majority of my classes were going to consist of pre-med requirements. But the love I have for the arts propelled me to fill the remaining slots in my schedule with various classes in acting, the study of film, and photography.
Ultimately in my sophomore year, I discovered the Practice of Art track offered by the Visual Arts department and was graciously accepted into the film program. I was absolutely ecstatic! I was given the opportunity to fulfill my STEM requirements while simultaneously majoring in something that would continue letting me take more art classes.
