About

Greetings! My name is Milan and I am a senior in the Art & Archaeology Department (focusing on film), as well as the Program in Theater and the Program in Music Theater. In addition to this, I am a proud member of Forbes College. While I have always had an interest in film, it was not always my intention to study it here as I was unaware the department existed for my first couple of years here. In fact, I was initially planning to be an Astrophysics major and eventually ended up declaring BSE Computer Science. However, as I continued to take more classes in the Computer Science department and also participated in my first filmmaking class, I realized that it was indeed possible to focus on film.

Throughout this process, I found the theatre community to be extremely useful in propelling my knowledge and skills in the world of collaborative art-making. I have greatly enjoyed having the opportunity to work with a wide variety of peers in a multitude of ways. There has never been a lack of opportunities to try new things on campus, which has allowed me to try stage managing, lighting design, sound design, set design, acting, technical directing, and other company managerial tasks.

On campus, in addition to the VIS Department and Theater & Music Theater Programs, I have also been involved in Theatre Intime, The Playwright's Guild, Pink House, Club Field Hockey, and Club Lacrosse. Furthermore, I also enjoy photography and music. I hope that you will reach out to me if you have any questions or just want to chat about anything at all!
