Miriam Patterson joined the Lewis Center for the Arts in 2022 as the Costume Shop Manager. Prior to her work at Princeton, Miriam served for ten years as Costume Designer and Shop Manager at Allegheny College, where she mentored students interested in costume design and technology. She attended the University of Memphis, where she completed degrees in Art History (B.A.) and Theatre with a concentration in Costume Design (M.F.A.). Her work has been featured in plays, musicals, and opera, and she has been recognized by the Peggy Ezekiel (USITT) Design Awards and the Memphis Ostrander Theatre Awards. She is an active member of USITT. When she is not working on costumes, she pursues hobbies in baking and photography.
