Won Cha

About
With the belief that education and the arts are at the core of meaningful, equity-driven work, Won is dedicated to bringing individuals from all walks of life together. He brings over ten years of experience as an educator and administrator in universities, community-based non-profits, the NYS Education Department, and independent schools across the country.
As an artist, he is currently working on a collaborative project engaging visual, narrative, and sonic formations generated by the creolization of subcultures formed in pineapple plantations in Hawaii, sugar plantations in the Caribbean, and spaces of migrant labor in present-day Jackson Heights.
Won pursued his studies at the Cooper Union School of Art (BFA), the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Pennsylvania (MFA). He is represented by LC Quiesser in Tbilisi and Cologne.
