About

Zohar Lavi-Hasson grew up in Israel and began making short films when she was in high school. She received her bachelor's degree in Film and TV in 1999 from Israel's Tel Aviv University, where she continued to work after graduation as co-director of a large scale International Student Film Festival. In 2004, Zohar moved to New York City to pursue her MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University. While studying at Columbia, she made several short films, one of which was screened in the 2007 NY Film Festival. Zohar moved with her family to Princeton in 2009 and has worked with the Lewis Center for the Arts since 2015. In recent years, Zohar has become a ceramic artist, and she currently works and sells her ceramic wares at the local artist co-operative, Princeton Makes.
