Social justice comedian, Negin Farsad presents this workshop in which we’ll briefly discuss her social justice comedy strategies in building community which largely involves talking to strangers. We’ll then take those strategies to the street. We suffer from a national love deficit, so to help balance the scales, Farsad and company will be asking strangers to share something they love about the people they hate. Internet rage and vitriol have gotten all too much attention, is it possible to turn the scales by talking to strangers and getting a new perspective?

This workshop is presented as part of the Authenticity and Solidarity Conference on Civic Engagement at the Carl Fields Center. Register at https://tinyurl.com/authenticity-solidarity
