The Lewis Center for the Arts is home to Princeton’s academic programs in Creative Writing, Dance, Theater & Music Theater, and Visual Arts, as well as the interdisciplinary Princeton Atelier. Music composition and performance courses are offered through the Department of Music. Together with partners across campus, the Lewis Center puts the creative and performing arts at the heart of the Princeton experience, offering intimate, intensive courses that are open to beginners and to seasoned, aspiring artists alike.
Distinguished artists work closely with undergraduate students in studio and workshop settings, producing work that is frequently presented at public events. Students who pursue a minor in one or more Lewis Center programs undertake creative independent work, developing an original book, exhibition, performance or other ambitious undertaking with the mentorship of a faculty advisor.
