Visual arts senior Nazenin Elci presents an exhibition of new work.

The exhibition in the Lucas Gallery at 185 Nassau Street was scheduled for April 20-24, 2020. The physical gallery installation was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic but was presented online. View the virtual gallery at 185nassau.art

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Last summer I went back home to Diyarbakır, Turkey.

Some things were still there. My grandma still has the bottles she turned into doorstops by filling them up with water and artificial flowers.

I disassemble and reassemble things I find in my room, at home, and elsewhere.
