From the Classical Music Hall of Fame to Richardson Auditorium, the nine time Grammy-winning Emersons return to kick off the Princeton University Concerts season. Offering Shostakovich’s seldom performed String Quartet No. 10 Op. 118 as preceded by Haydn’s ethereal “Sunrise” Quartet Op.76 No.4, they will be joined by their protégés, the quickly rising Calidore Quartet, to culminate opening night with Mendelssohn’s beloved String Octet in E-flat Major, Op. 20.
