Want to perform in Princeton Dance Festival (PDF) but can’t take a dance course? Audition to be in a guest choreographer’s work! Students may audition for all opportunities but would only be cast in one. These works will be performed at the Princeton Dance Festival on November 21-23, 2025.

Pam Tanowitz
Sept. 6 from 12:30-2:30 PM
Murphy Dance Studio, Lewis Arts complex
This will be a contemporary ballet work choreographed by Pam Tanowitz with rehearsal assistance by Maile Okamura. Weekly rehearsals are Tuesdays/Thursdays 4:30-6:20 p.m. Bring ballet slippers to audition, if possible.
Pam Tanowitz has created dances for New York City Ballet and The Royal Ballet, and she has been honored with Bessie Awards and the Doris Duke Artist Award, among others.
Kyle Abraham
Sept. 6 from 3:30-5:30 PM
Murphy Dance Studio, Lewis Arts complex
This will be a contemporary dance work by Kyle Abraham, staged by Stephanie Terasaki. Weekly rehearsals are Tuesdays/Thursdays 4:30-6:20 p.m.
Kyle Abraham, a MacArthur Fellow and Artistic Director of the internationally acclaimed A.I.M dance company, has also choreographed for Alvin Ailey Dance Theater and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago.
Omari Wiles
Sept. 9 from 4:30-6:30 PM
Hearst Dance Theater, Lewis Arts complex
This will be a new Vogue and House work by Omari Wiles, who merges West African dance styles with vogue and ballroom. Weekly rehearsals are Tuesdays/Thursdays 4:30-6:20 p.m. Bring sneakers and/or non-stiletto heels, if possible.
Omari Wiles’s choreography has been featured with Janet Jackson and Beyoncé, among others, and his choreography for Cats will be coming to Broadway in 2026.
*Forbes and Whitman dining halls are near the Lewis Arts complex and both serve dinner until 8:00 p.m.
