Visual Arts senior Ameena Faruki presents an installation of video and photographic work exploring themes of obsolescence, estrangement, and care. Their interest lies in using outdated, abandoned, or “undesirable” technology to create images that echo the aesthetics of early surrealism and conceptual art within new and disparate contexts.
