Lewis Center faculty, guest artists and alumni nominated for 2025 Tony and Drama Desk Awards

Several Lewis Center for the Arts faculty members, guest artists, and Princeton University alumni have been nominated for 2025 Tony Awards and Drama Desk Awards for their recent work on and off-Broadway.

2025 Tony Award Nominations

  • Best Scenic Design of a Musical — Recent Lecturer in Theater Rachel Hauck for Swept Away
  • Best Play — Current Lewis Center Advisory Council member, past faculty member and Princeton alum Branden Jacobs-Jenkins ’06 for Purpose
  • Best Revival of a Musical — Frequent guest artist and Princeton alum Adam Hyndman ’12, a producer on Gypsy

2025 Drama Desk Award Nominations

  • Outstanding Play — Current Lewis Center Advisory Council member, past faculty member and Princeton alum Branden Jacobs-Jenkins ’06 for Purpose
  • Outstanding Choreography — Recent guest artist Omari Wiles, who is returning in fall 2025 as guest choreographer for Princeton Dance Festival, with Arturo Lyons for Cats: “The Jellicle Ball”
  • Outstanding Scenic Design of a Musical — Recent Lecturer in Theater Rachel Hauck for Swept Away
  • Outstanding Lyrics — Recent Lecturer in Theater Adam Gwon for All the World’s a Stage
