Christine Chen '97, an LCA Advisory Council member since 2023, is a Senior Consultant with La Piana Consulting, a national firm focused on helping nonprofits, foundations, and social enterprises manage change. She is the former executive director of STREB Inc., which she led through the pandemic, and American Repertory Ballet, which she led through a major artistic director change and the 2009 recession. She also served as the Director of Strategic Programming at the 92nd Street Y, New York. Prior to her work in management, Christine was a professional dancer, choreographer and arts educator. She performed nationally and internationally with STREB Extreme Action, AXIS Dance Company, Flyway Productions, and more. She taught dance in NYC and San Francisco public schools, at the University of California, Davis, and in public and private settings across the country. Her choreographic work has been performed nationally and funded by the New York State Council on the Arts.
