About

Feyisola Soetan is a writer-actor from New York with an MA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She studies acting at the Identity School of Acting in the UK and received her Bachelor’s degree from Princeton in 2019, where she studied Anthropology, Theater, and Gender Studies in an intersectional way.

Her recent performance credits include appearing as a supporting character in a TV series called Shatter Belt, alongside comedian Patton Oswalt. She has also recently played the titular role in a radio play called Rapunzel Alone. Her stage credits include Processing… with Theatre East and Eclipsed with the McCarter Theatre.

While at Princeton as an undergraduate, Feyisola’s senior thesis won the Suzanne M. Huffman Memorial Prize for her groundbreaking research in Gender and Sexuality Studies through an ethnography about the experiences of Black female-identifying students at Princeton. She used this ethnography to write a choreopoem play titled A Spectrum Unspoken, which ran at the Wallace Theater in March 2019. This experience inspired her to pursue writing in grad school. She now writes TV pilots and feature films in addition to stage plays.
